A. Aggregate planning
Aggregate planning is the process of developing, analyzing and developing a preliminary
approximation schedule of several operations of an organization. The aggregate plan generally contains target sales forecast, production level, and inventory level and customer blogs. This schedule intends to satisfy the demand forecast at a minimum cost. Properly planned aggregate planning should minimize the effects of shortsighted day to day scheduling in which small amount of materials may be ordered one week with an accompanying lay off workers followed by ordering large amounts hiring workers the next week. This long term perspective on resource use can help minimize short term requirements changes with a resulting cost saving.

B. Material production schedule (MPS)
The MPS translate the business plan including forecast demand into a production plan using
planed orders in a true multi-level optional component scheduling environment using MPS helps to avoid shortages costly expediting lost minute scheduling and inefficient allocation of resources.

C. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
Material requirement planning MRP refers to production planning and inventory control soft
ware system that are used to manage the manufacturing process. An MRP system is intended to
simultaneously meet three objectives. These are first, to ensure that materials are available for production and products are available for delivery to customers second, maintain the lowest possible material and products levels in store and lastly, plan manufacturing activities, delivery, schedules and purchasing activities

D. Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) II Planning
Around 1980 over frequent changes in sales forecasting , entailing continual readjustments in production as well as the unsuitability of parameters fixed by system lead to (MPR) to evolve into a new concept manufacturing Resource planning. Manufacturing resource planning is defined as a method for the effective planning for all resources of manufacturing company. Ideally It addresses operational planning units, financial planning and has a simulation capacity “what if” question and extension at close loop.
