Basically there are two branches of economics of education.
1. Micro-economics of education: this is a branch that deals with particular parts and
aspects of education for example the cost function in education, the production function,
the efficiency and effectiveness in education etc.
2. Macro-economics of education: this is a branch that deals with the broad issues in
education and economic development, education and population growth, education and
nutrition, education and fertility.
