A phonetic analysis deals with the sounds articulated and how they are influenced by various attributes during their production. It focuses on distinctive features (meaning distinguishing) and non distinctive features (not meaning distinguishing) of a sound.
While a phonemic analysis deals with the various phones realized or evident in a word. It is also called a phonological analysis and only deals with distinctive features of a sound.
