Explicit Learning
Hustijn (2005) defines explicit learning as input processing with the conscious intention to find out whether the input information contains regularities and if so to work out the concepts and rules with which these regularities can be captured. Simply put explicit learning is a form of conscious intentional and declarative process of knowledge acquisition.

Implicit Learning
Implicit learning is the opposite of explicit learning .Implicit learning according to Hulstijn (2005) is input processing without intention, taking place unconsciously. Simply put; implicit learning is the learning of complex information in an incidental manner without awareness of what has been learned.
