a) Magma is the molten rock material which originates from interior of earth ,cools while below the earth surface and has large crystal while lava is the molten rock material that has reached the surface, has solidified and has small crystals.

b) E-dyke, F- Lopolith , G- Sill

i) A crater : Eruption of lava through a central vent causes building up of a cone. The lava in the vent cools and contracts. The cool lava withdraws into the vent leaving a shallow depression of the cone. Gas explosions may blow away surface rocks causing a crater .Example Mt Longonot , Mt menengai, MTsuswa, M t marsabit

ii) A geyser: Rain water percolates down through cracks in the rocks. The water gets into contact with hot igneous rock. The water is super-heated and gases or steam form. Pressure builds up in the cracks. The pressure causes steam and water to be ejected explosively as jets to the surface.
The water and stream are emitted intermittently as pressure level changes. Example: around lake Bongoria.

iii)A lava plateau: it is formed when magma reaches the surface of the earth through a serious of vents or fissures. The lava is extremely fluid or ultra through a series of vents or fissures. The lava spread evenly over a large area filling al the former valley basic. The lava spread evenly over large area filling al l the former valley and covers most of the landscape with exception of high hills. The lava cools slowly and solidifies. Several eruption build up successive layers lava that form an extensive highland with a flat surface known as a plateau. Examples , Y ATTA plateau , UASIN GISHU plateau , LAIKIPIA plateau

d)- Volcanic highland or mountain are source of rivers which provide water for domestic or agricultural or industrial use.
-Volcanic rocks weather down to form fertile volcanic soils which support agriculture
-Volcanic rock are building in the construction industry
-Volcanic features are tourist attraction which promote tourism
-Volcanic mountains or highlands influence formation of relief rainfall which encourage activities.
-Volcanic highland influence formation of relief rainfall which encourage agricultural activities
-volcanic highland or Mountain modify temperature making them attractive to human settlements
-Volcanic feature or such steam jets and geysers provide suitable site for geothermal power generation.
