POLITICAL ORGANISATION
The kingdom was divided into [SSAZA] and subcounties.Each county was under Ssaza chiefs whose position was hereditary initially before the kabaka began to appoint them as a means of making them accuontable.Each Ssaza was divided into a gombolola chief,who maintained law and order and collected taxes.
-The gombolola were further divided into smaller sub-divisions called miluka each under a miluka chief.The miluka was further divided too into kisoko .
-the smallest administrative unit among the Buganda was the village council The Abatongole appointed by the kabaka,governed the vassal states.
SOCIAL ORGANISATION
The kingdom was divided in social classes of which comprising of the royal occupying the top of the hierarchy then rulling class ,the chiefs who ruled over the peasants known as bakopi.
-at the bottom of the social class were the slaves who were refered to as Badu who were acquired mainly through raidson the neighbouring communities such as Toro.
-the Baganda believed in the existence of many gods some whom were;Katonda God the creator whose home was in heaven;Kibuuka,God of war and thunder;MUkasa goddess of fertility who was worshipped in order to bles the nation with more children,livestock and a bumper harvest
-the community also believed the existence of ancentral spirits whose resiponsipility was to maintain discpline.
- Had religius leaders led by kabaka.
-The society was polygamous eg kabaka married from all clans.
-There was also division according to sex where woman tilted the land while men engaged in the protection of community.
-The baganda went through formal education that train them in their rites of passage.
ECONOMICAL ORGANISATION
-Their economic was based on agriculture in the production of stable food bananas.
-They also practised livestock keeping where they obtained milk and meat for their diet.
-Raiding where they did it from the neighbouring communities.
-The baganda practisediron working,producing hoes for cultivation and weapons for defence.
-fishing on Lake Victoria.
