Tips on how to become a fashionista in Kenya.

Style by determination is the best way you speak, act and dress. It is generally thought as effortless, something you are born with and for a lucky few that is true. Though it come easier for others it is something we can all learn by determining what works best for you as an individual.
The tips which can make a person become a fashionista in Kenya include;

(a) Know what suits you.
It is important to learn how to use clothes to show case, your best features and add on little personal touches like accessories or scarts to make look your own.

(b) Everything you wear should fit properly.
Clothes should skim the body not cling to it. Slits, seams, pocket flaps, and pleats should always lie flat. Having a tailor or a seamstress do little alterations on your clothes to get a great fit drastically improve your overall appearance.

(c) Colour.
Bright colours may catch the eye. Different colours and shades of colours work well with different skin tones. While trying to find the shades that work best for you, try different colours and examine yourself in a natural light against a white background. Consider pairing light and bright colours since they may help balance the body. Placing the lighter colours in an area that you like attracts the attention to them.

(d) Fabrics.
Cheap fabrics tend to be stiff and less flattering while higher quality fabrics hold their shape better and as a result last long. Woven fabrics like raw silk and cotton are stronger and require more tailoring for a great fit while knits easily achieve body contouring style.

(e) Details.
They are a great way to focus attention on great areas of your body. Bare shoulders and abeaded bodice focus attention to an ample bosom while a line of glittering trimming across your

waist emphasizes how small it is. It is however important to note that excessive detailing does more harm than good.
