This is a question I once had no answer to before I decided to do the course that I’m currently doing. I used to think that some courses were way far much better than others and therefore all I wanted was to pass and score good grades to enable me to do those “big courses.” Most people have the same thought that I had until I recently knowledge dawned on me. Hoping knowledge will dawn on them too. When you go to a primary school and ask each what they want to be when they grow up you’ll be shocked at how many doctors, engineers, lawyers, accountants, managers, bankers and other white collar jobs we’ll be expecting. You’ll also be shocked at the nil number of drivers, mechanics, plumbers, teachers and such occupations we’ll be expecting in the future. What this shows is the extent to which this motion has affected everyone in our society.Just recently at my campus I witnessed two students arguing, one who takes education while the other one takes procurement, the “teacher” was telling the “procurement officer” that he’ll be miserable in the stores while the latter was accusing the “teacher” that he will be toiling changing nursery kids diapers. I chopped in to silence the two and end the argument. I told them that each of them depended on the other. The “procurement officers “kids have to be taught in school by the teachers. Also the teacher has to depend on the procurement officers to be well accountable in their operation to ensure there is equity. From solving that argument I came to realize that surely no course was greater than the other since each course depended on the other and one cannot be complete with just his/her course. A good example of this is the set up in a hospital a doctor needs the medical lab technician to do the lab tests for him to further the treatment, the pharmacist is also there to give drugs to the patients, the dentist is there to take care of the teeth while the accountant does all the finances and accounts. The procurement officer is in charge of the store. The pathologist is also there to do all postmortems. In short no course is greater than the other and therefore no one should despise the other for the course they take in life. Everyone plays an important role.
