A project can be describe as a detailed study of matter by a student or party to give the appropriate output and carried out within a scope of time and resources. Any project require a lot of time and money and involves finding out how the current system. You determine the type of inputs and outputs required to ascend the system and also formula in which your new system will attain its functionality. Before you begin your project as an IT student, you are required to take a feasibility study and prepare the report of your pre-study which will form stairs to the project proposal. Determine the actual problem of a potential user and the system requirements possible for digital use. Develop an appropriate algorithm for the problem solution. An algorithm is a procedure, a finite set of well-defined instructions, for solving a problem which, given an initial state, will terminate in a defined end-state. Implement the algorithm to give a documented and tested system using the available and appropriate software and hardware that are currently in existence. By drawing a scheduled activity guide for the project completion, you will have an assurance of 10% of the total marks.

The second phase of your project is a clear investigation of what the user need with the system you are about to bring into place. The student is expected to have detailed information of; Processes, Input data, Output data or information, and any other requirement probably for risk occurrences. After investigation, you will be required to produce an analysis report introducing your investigation, the answer tom what you were investigating, the new system objectives, constraints and the limitations of the system in existence with their recommended solution. This phase will garner you 20% of the

total marks.

Phase three involves drawing a vivid design to make you project successfully implemented. Produce a brief description of the input, processing and the output that makes up the system. Develop a related data model of the new system wish will help to show the entities, attributes and how they are related to each other. Proceed to tabulated structures with their relationships, validation rules, default values and their primary keys. Identify the naming methodology and consistently applying it in your system’s objects. Validate your data by describing a checklist of facts to be recorded for each data item and the output from analysis of various reports which are produced by the new system. Use flow charts, system outline charts to design the user interface. A module design of programs and macros should be specified which include entities like pseudo codes or structured charts. Top it up with an inclusion of the system’s security and backups with a design which covers logical, functional, system, recovery, and user acceptance testing. 25% of the total marks will be yours for a complete phase.

Since you have done almost everything your final procedure is to bring all that science into reality. You will be expected to write a well-documented program using appropriate programming languages. Test your system outline the testing objectives, test plan, steps in software testing, and presenting the test results to add yourself 10% of the total marks.

The final and the most important component of your project, is report preparation which should include the following. Page title, table of your project content, Analysis, Design testing, system maintenance, user manual, input documents, test runs and cross reference test plan. This phase will give the student 35% of the total marks since the teacher will pass over this as the conclusion to know the commitment of your system project. Make sure your project is original by relying on your brain and commitment since a copied project work is automatically cancelled and your alternative out is to redo it or forget about graduation. Remember a project is done with limited resource and the main objective is to channel your brains how to achieve what you lack from a few of provision by economizing the necessities and at the required time scope.
