You have probably heard of network marketing companies e.g. GNLD, Forever Living, Green World International. These are just a few examples of the network marketing companies in Kenya. This article looks at network marketing and some of its advantages.
Network marketing is a form of marketing whereby independent contractors are paid for their sales efforts and the efforts of other contractors in their network. Network marketing differs from other forms of marketing in that the networking firms do not advertise their products through the media. Instead they use the contractors to advertise their products through the use of word of mouth and referrals.

Benefits of Network Marketing

1. Leverage

This is the major advantage that one can benefit from when one engages in network marketing. In network marketing, it is said one can work for more than 24 hours a day! So how is this possible? Assuming you have 50 people in your network and all of them work 2 hours in a day then through them it is said you have worked 100(50*2) hours in a day because you are paid for their efforts!

2. Low start up capital

Most network marketing companies require very low initial capital to start and you could be on your way to building your network of more than 1,000 people. For most companies you don’t part with more than Kshs 2,000 as a start-up capital

3. Residual Income

Network marketing allows one to earn a residual income (income received constantly with little or no effort required to maintain it). This is because of the effort that your network contributes. After your network of contractors grows to a certain level you will find that you constantly receive an income.

4. International presence

One other advantage of networking marketing is the ability to take your business outside your country’s borders. There is no
limit to where your business can operate from. You can recruit your contractors from within the country and outside the country.

With the low start-up costs and the ability to generate residual income what more does one need to venture into network marketing!
