Stretching should be a regular part of our fitness programme due the following reasons:1. It makes your co-ordination and balance to improve:To have an improved balance means not being able to fall easily. Stretching just improves this by increased flexibility.2. It makes you more flexible:Flexibility will make your muscles to lengthen. This means that your movement will become easier. Ligament sprains and muscle strain will no longer be an issue to you. Your muscles will become more flexible if you stretch often.3. It improves your cardiovascular health:Stretching can lower blood pressure by improving the functions of the artery.4. It eases the circulation of blood flow:Blood flow supply to the muscles increases with increased stretching, bringing with it more nourishment and taking with it waste from the muscles. There is also quick recovery of muscle and joint injuries with increased blood flow.5. Lower back pain will no longer be a problem if you stretch:Stretching your muscles will help get rid of this pain. The muscles affected here are muscles in the lower back, buttocks and hips. Stretching will make these muscles less stiff and tight, hence alleviating the lower back pain.
