The following tips will help in increasing your productivity because there always seems to be so much to do with so little time1.Get an early start. Wake up early before dawn, say like 5 am if possible even at 4 am. Immediately go and start working on tasks that you consider to be more important for the day. Morning hours are quite productive and if you utilize them well you may get more work done by 9 am.2. Implement the no- distraction rule. When a task gets under way stick with it to its completion. Entertain no distractions and when they come up write them down to be taken care of later unless the very urgent ones.If possible stick a "DO NOT DISTURB" Poster on your door so that people will keep off. Also don''t change tasks in the middle.3.Clear goals.Plan each day carefully with clear goals to help you focus.Decide on what you will do and when you will do it in advance; then do it. Clear daily goals will guide you and they are important as you are less likely to give in to distractions. 4.Identify the times of the day when you are most productive. For some people their peak times are the morning hours others in the evening or even afternoon hours. Do the most crucial tasks during these hours then you can do the minor tasks on other times when you''re usually not very productive. This way you will get more done. 5.Set targets. For each task set a target that you must reach before you stop working e.g answer 20 past paper questions and make sure you hit the target. You can also formulate targets for the day. 6.Pick up the pace.Every thing you do do it a little bit faster. Walk at a faster pace, increase your typing speed, read faster etc you will be amazed on how much time you can save on this one. 7. Most challenging tasks first. Most of us love procrastinating on those unpleasant task that are a bit challenge or we don''t like doing. To overcome this do these tasks first thing in the morning and get done with them early. This will also give a feel of accomplishment and will set out a momentum for a productive day. 8. DelegateIf there is someone else that can do a task for you then delegate to them. Then concentrate on other important tasks. In other cases other people can do a better job than we can.9.Similar tasks Put similar tasks together e.g making phone calls paying bills etc.and complete them at one go. 10.Make decision as soon as possible To avoid delaying action make decisions immediately as soon as you have all the information and details needed. Preferably Within a minute.
