They should not be worn in temperate areas because they lack the ability to absorb moisture. The warmth part of the robe is often considered too. You would choose a robe that did not lose and gain heat too quickly but one that was moderate in the changes. Warmth is the one thing you need in the chilly mornings and different types of robes have different levels of heat retention.They come in different colors that you can choose from. You can get the one you like and are attracted to. The mens robes are supposed to be loose in size that fits a range of sizes of people. The prices of the robes are not that high. They are quite affordable; they are priced between ksh2000 to about ksh5500 depending on the material. Silk robes can go even higher.
