Trees technically pull down rain. This statement is put in a way that the main message is exposed while reducing/cutting down long stories. The fact is that trees take part in evaporating water through spreading it to the leaves hence the surface area. If trees are cut down, water does not find surface area to retain it. This reduces the evaporation rate hence reduce rainfall frequencies. Forests act as catchment areas. This process cannot go on without the trees we carelessly cut down. Also:

*trees provide shade to animals and to you
*trees provide fuel for human consumption
*trees provide herbal medicines
*trees provide food
*trees provide raw materials
*trees provide homage for birds/animals
*trees reduce soil erosion
*trees provide manure to plants
*trees provide beauty at home.

You see, above are just a few uses of trees. We cannot do without trees. We ought to reduce the number of people who cut down trees if we are to control deforestation.

The government advices kenyans to plant trees because new trees replace cut down trees. If you cut down one tree, plant two!!
