Let’s just say that Google did not exist — or that search engines did not exist — how would you research? How even did writers in the past research, long before Google showed up? And this is where researching without using Google comes in. Plus you want to know that it’s fruitful than you ever would have imagined.

Well, here’s how you can research without using Google:

Visit libraries. Sorry to say, but libraries are almost overlooked these days. Yet, they contain up to billions of research resources — that’s right, billions of them. Libraries contain books, journals, magazines among other materials that can boost your research. In fact, libraries are stocked with books that are as old as writing ever came in to being — at a time which, probably, books could not even be uploaded online. And it’s no wonder that today, some of the oldest books, in the worlds history, have not been uploaded online yet. Do you want to base all of your research on Google, still? Wake up people, and expand your research horizons. I’m not saying that Google is bad, but we have to make use of other alternatives, as well.

Visit online forums. Forums are a powerful research platform. In fact, forums could offer you such an in-depth research than you ever would have imagined. Do you want to know why? People ask questions in forums, and other people respond to them — simple! But the spicy part of it is that forum responses most likely will not come from one person, but from a pool of people, all with different outlooks for the same topic. Which is why a single forum can be enough to cater for your entire research.
Check out Yahoo answers. You could get up to several pages of answers to a given

question, on Yahoo answers — such in-depth answers that could not be accommodated by a single article. Plus the answers come in different tones and styles (of course, they are from different people). Which is why they qualify to be a research source. Similar to Yahoo answers, is Web answers — this is yet another platform that offers an extensive response to a given question. What a handy research tool to be.

Use online social media. Social media platforms could just catapult your research to higher levels. Have you ever asked a question on Facebook, and your friends responded accordingly? In fact, that’s the catch. It doesn’t matter how many friends or followers you have on your account, but they could help answer just that disturbing question you might be having.

Yes, come on people! Imagine if Google were to vanish today, what would you do? Come on and think out of the box — make use of these handy sources to boost your research to even higher heights. You don’t want to be the odd one out!
