Whether you are running a multibillion business empire, a small food court, a barber shop, a salon, a shop, or any kind of business, customer loyalty is one thing that you should be striving to obtain.
Consumers who are loyal to a certain business or product will help it survive and attain its objectives.
The process of building customer loyalty is not complex at all as we are going to see in a short while:

• Give customers value for their money; ensure that the consumers see the benefit in a good or service that they have purchased from your business. The goods and services should be of high quality.

• Do not lie to customers; for instance by telling them that a product has certain features only for them to realize later that the product does not actually have the features that you were talking about. This leads to customer dissatisfaction which has huge repercussions on the business. Research has shown that a dissatisfied customer is likely to tell 10 other people of their dissatisfaction in a given product or business as opposed to a satisfied customer who is likely to tell only 3 people of his satisfaction. Well, be the judge on that one!!!

• Provide your customers with after sale services such as providing transportation for the products they purchase, giving them assistance on how to use the product, giving them installation and maintenance assistance, and also telling them that you will always be ready to help when he needs you.

• Respond to customer queries promptly and be sure to give them a solution to a problem which they could be having.

• In your business premises, ensure that the customers are served promptly. In case there are many customers at once, make sure you let the customers understand that you are trying hard to

serve all of them. In this regard you can maybe provide a resting place for them as they await their chance to be served.

• Make sure you talk to the customers in person. This as opposed to the use of equipment like announcers. A person to person contact is more appealing and the customers are not likely to be dissatisfied when you talk to them in person concerning a given issue. You will also be in place to respond to any queries that they could be having.

Those are some of the basic issues that you need to consider to ensure that your customers remain loyal to you.
