Patience is like a birthday cake. Just as the invites to a birthday party stay waiting for a bite or share, so does humans wait for patience to pay. No matter the title or authority one has, patience has the entire rule. Many die of greed but patience has no mercy; everybody waits for the candles to be blown and the cake to be cut along with the birthday song and not until then does anyone get a share. It is colorful, practical and something pleasant to observe. “It is one of the commanding generals in the army of powers.” Benjamin Franklin. Any man or woman who earnestly desires more courage or insight or cleverness will learn from the power of patience. It represents mastery and has no submission as it obeys no other value. Patience is a first cousin to the forces we call endurance and persistence moreover admiration and respect are some key characteristics found in patience. When we exercise patience we feel relaxed something that is always welcomed. Waiting for something is not of human preference and many would love to evade it entirely but circumstances will always call for patience.

Patience enables us to stay calm and at a distance from circumstances that would distress us. In addition, impatience is a fretful force that destroys self control. Patience is for a fact not a simple task for humans to undertake. It denies many qualities cherished by our personalities and for it to bear fruits it takes a process. Many people suffer from sicknesses; others look for jobs while others go in search of lost property. None of these runs fast, smooth or easy as humans engage lots of effort and even though having ability beside, much it takes of patience. Fortunately for those who succeed the

test, joy, happiness and contentment arrives as rewards from patience because patience pays.

Many try hard to remain calm and patiently poised in order to let go of impatience and unhappiness yet they can’t help their desires. They clearly see their problem but still remain in slavery. This is because they see themselves as they think they should be rather than what they actually are. This prevents them from accurate action upon impatience. To fight impatience, a simple process is undertaken: First it takes being honest with what one is and not lying to one’s self or personality. If you are impatient face the impatience from that perspective. Accept that you really are impatient, don’t pretend to have patience, don’t hope that you will remain relaxed and don’t force self control for it will only work for a while and then explode. Let your natural impatience rule and take place for this will give you an opportunity to study yourself and your impatience. It is then that a remarkable change will take place all by itself for you will by then have understood how and when impatience invades you. Your struggle will eventually gain victory for eternity as you will always see a great and patient person in yourself.
