Employment is the person’s trade or profession, an employer is the person who employs other people to work for him/her. An employee is a person employed for wages. Every person goes to school at mere age to be trained in order to either get employed or start a business; the later will involve such a person to become an employer as he/she will need other people’s professional input. A man in engaging employees should be careful to get the best as the best trained and talented are the best for the best of his company/business. All the same, you cannot have too good tools to work with and there is no tool you should be as particular about as living tools, if you get a good one, it is better to keep him rather than keep changing. An employee who serves a certain business/company for long learns something relevant every day and you arc benefited by the experience he acquires; this will only mean that experience is what matters, in any case you need another employee in exchange you will suffer a little as the other adjusts his/herself to new duties. A long serving employee gets more worth to you this month that last month and is the last person to part with provided he has good habits and continues faithful. Keeping such a person for long will mean a continued growth in your business as his inputs advance day by day.

Never let your employee know his value in your business/company so easily as If he knows that he gets more valuable each day, he may start demanding exorbitant increase in salary in the supposition that you can’t do without him; in such a case you will find yourself suffer in either way that is, by increasing his

salary or by sacking him. All in all your business will lose in a way. In such a case, If the demand is not too much increase his pay for he may learn of greener pastures in due time; keep him in order to profit more from his brains but be cautious of his more exposure to your business’ secrets. Some employers get so free with their employees and to such they think they have nothing to hide from their tools; some of these tools turn to be very smart and would even start similar firms elsewhere to outdo their bosses or even steal from them.
Those men who have brains and experience are the most valuable and not to be readily parted with, it is better for them as well as to yourself to keep them at reasonable advances in their salaries from time to time to secure your profits from them.
