they act more mature in terms of love matters. These people find other types of music annoying like hip hop and hard rock which is normally sort of an abuse of genders. It is the blues listeners and the RnB listeners who make good partners because they are more acquainted with love matters.
There is another category known as the Riddims listeners. these are the outgoing people, they love dancing and having fun, nothing seems to be serious to them and they take everything for granted. The listeners of this type of music are also very interesting to be around, they are ever jovial and as such they attract a lot of attention, most women are attracted to such men and they like being danced for which is actually good. this category also consists of majority of players, if you listen to these songs, they are actually morally deficient and they use phrases that you can't want the older members of society to listen. they can e very embarrassing especially considering their words and the manner of dancing. they also depend with ones age, those who enjoy such music are usually still very immature like say high school leavers and primary school kids, some college youths also find them interesting but those above twenty are not as drawn to them as the others. They find them vulgar and annoying.I want to assume that it comes with maturity to leave such songs and listen to more appropriate music.
Those who listen to hip hop are more portrayed as gangsters, they are considered to be the hopeless and the unfocused category. This is because most hip hop is about putting down someone and they tend to involve themselves in meaningless wars, that they end up coming up with songs that try to paint a bad image of another hip hop artist. I consider this immature but I think that it is the whole idea behind that kind of music, call me stupid but I just have a sort of disapproval for it.I deem it as good for dancing and nothing else. I think it has no clear cut message that it passes, just my opinion.
There is the category which is called reggae. this music is usually very smooth and soothing. They are associated with the bob Marley culture that several people subscribe to. I actually don't have a clear picture of what it is but I know that they have these Rastafarian colors, red, green and yellow and that they love dreadlocks and tat they also believe in a plant called ganger or weed. They claim that reggae music is the only music with a message which I highly doubt and they also claim that they are a peaceful lot which to me is such a satire. At times I get a feeling that everything about them is sort of misplaced and I just cannot put my hand on it.These people are just every weird to me, they take a lot of bang and they talk in a particular way, call it their swag but they are naturally a scary lot to most people not just me.
I know there are some that I have left out and it's because they are not as common in Kenya as in other countries but for those that I have heard about and I have listed out, they can be used as an eye opener when you want to relate with someone and you ask them what they listen to you can judge their character from there.
