(1)Over-reliance on past performance-some of us(students) believe that since they passed previous exams,then they will pass their future exams automatically.This is very wrong because previous performance is not correlated to future performance so the best way is to work hard all times and focus on future rather than the past.(2)Overconfidence-we students sometimes we are overconfident on ourselves but this is not the best.We should be confident enough but not overconfident.(3)lack of set goals and targets-students who mostly perform exemplary,work to their set goals and targets.(4)Not having a mentor-mentor is someone who you can emulate in academic because of his success in his field of academics.Students who have mentors perform better than those who don't have.(5)Setting unrealistic goal and targets-unrealistic goal and targets can demoralize someone if he/she is not cautious so it is wise to set realistic targets according to someones capability.
