The question that has rung in my mind since i joined high school is if the british system(IGCSE) is better than the kenyan system(8-4-4). Pointing out that most Kenyans, both successful and the unfortunate ones used the 8-4-4 system which was introduced by our second president His Excellency Daniel Arap Moi. What was used before that was the british system which, personally, didn't give kenyans much then. But what about now? Do kenyans who use the british system excel more than the ones who use the good old 8-4-4? Recent statistics show that about 20% of learning youth use the british system, and 80% of this end up with well paying jobs before they can even think about how their soles will get depleted as they walk all through nairobi. Some might argue that the jobs are got this fast because they are children of the posh. But imagine yourself in london. The bank owner asks which school you went to and you say Braeburn International School...will you or wont you get the million dollar job? words to be thunk
