1.Introduction: basis of instrumentation techniques and application
2.Spectroscopic interaction: absorption, emission, and fluorescence processes
3.Atomic techniques: flame, electrothermal, cold and plasma.
4.Molecular techniques: Ultraviolet/Visible (UV/VIS), infrared (IR), Fluorimetry, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS).
5.Radiochemical techniques: Activation and isotope dilution analysis, immunoassay techniques
6.Thermal analytical techniques: Thermal gravimetric analysis, differential thermal analysis and differential scanning calorimetry.
7.Electro-analytical techniques: Potentiometric titration, ion-selective electrodes (ISE) polarography, amperometric, conductometric and voltammetric analysis.
8.Chromatograhic techniques: Planar chromatography (PC and TLC) and column chromatography (HPLC and GC).
Practical sessions will be based on instruments available.
