Jalada ya mbele na nyuma ya kitabu huwa ni jazanda au ishara ya maswala yanayosimuliwa katika kazi ya fasihi. Tukianza na jalada ya mbele, ukweli ni kwamba lina picha kadha.
Katika sehemu ya pili ya jalada hadi karibu kati, kuna picha za watu, vyombo mezani, kiti,gari lenye rangi nyekundu, nyumba iiyoezekwa kwa mabati yenye kutu, mchanga ulio na rangi hudhurungi usio na mimea yoyote,jua lenye mwangaza mweupe na wa rangi ya manjano.
Katika hadithi zote kumi na tatu zina jinsia ya kike na kiume kama ilivyo katika jadala hili. Baadhi ya wahisika ni watu wazima kama vile wazazi kama ilivyobainika kwa mwanaume na mwanamke wanaoinua juu mikono kuonyesha furaha iliyopindukia. Na ndivyo ilivyo katika hadithi zote humu diwanini. Kuna wahusika wengi wanaokumbwa na furaha baada ya kumbazukiwa na maisha mapwa na bora zaidi kuliko wale waliyoishi hapo awali. Aidha wahusika hawa wa jinsia tofauti na ambao ni wanandoa ni ishara za wanandoa wengi wanaopatikana katika hadithi hizo kumi na tatu. Nyingi za ndio hizo zinakumbwa na changamoto tofauti tofauti.
Wahusika hawa wawili ni wa tabaka la chini, si la juu kama mwanaume anayefungua gari la kifahari na ambaye mavazi yake ni ishara za ukwasi. Hadithi zote katika diwani hii zina watu wa tabaka mbalimbali.
Kuna watu wawili mbali kiasi na hawa watatu wa mbele, hawa wawili wanaonekana kuwa wa jinsia tofauti pia. Yaelekea ni vijana walio katika shughuli za kikazi katika mgodi wa kitoa madini wa bwana Makutwa. Wana vifaa vya kufanya kazi. Vijana hawa wanaweza kuwa ni jazanda ya vijana wanaopatikana katika hadithi za diwani hii. Baadhi yao wanajishughulisha na masomo, utafutaji wa kazi, utakaji wa maisha bora na kadhalika. Wengi wao wanakumbwa na changamoto mbali mbali za maisha.
Ardhi yeye mchanga ya hudhurungi ni ishara ya ardhi ambayo haina mimea. Ardhi inayokosa mimea huwa haina matumaini kwa wakazi wake. Baadhi ya wahusika katika diwani hii hawana matumaini ya kupata kazi, kuendelea na elimu na kadhalika. Utupu huu wa ardhi pia unawezaashiria maovu yanayotendwa na wanajamii kwa hadithi hizi kama vile ukahaba, ufisadi nk.
Nyumba ya mabati yenye kutu ambayo kwa hakika ndio maskani yake makucha na macheo ni ishara ya makazi duni wanayoishi watu wa tabaka la kazi na wa chini. Baadhi ya hadithi za diwani hi kama ya pupa ambayo ina majengo yaliyoinamiana katika mtaa wa Mwinamo. Baadhi ya mandhari ya hadithi hizi ni kama vile mijini, sokoni, shuleni, vijijini miongoni mwa mengine.
Jua linaloonekana kwa mbali sehemu ya kati majalada upande ya kulia ni ishara ya jua linalochomoza mapambazuko. Machweo ya jua yanayoonyesha kukaribia kufika mwisho wa maisha ya baadhi ya wahusika kutokana na uzee. Au usumbufu Fulani wa maisha ambao haulekei kupata suluhisho. Nayo rangi ya manjano ya jua ni ishara ya matumaini. Wahusika wengi humu hadithini, licha kukumbwa na changamoto mbalimbali za maisha, wanamatumaini katika maisha yao ya baadaye.
Rangi ya samawati inayotawala sehemu kubwa ya jalada kuanzia kati kati hadi juu ni upeo wa anga ambao siku zote huwa na rangi hii. Na kama anga hii, maisha ni mapana na marefu na yamejaa changamoto za kila aina. Wahusika mbalimbali wanakumbwa na changamoto zinazowahuzunisha. Changamoto hizi zinapotatuliwa wanakumbwa na furaha.
