Abstract
Hospitality operations are successful when the needs of the guests are catered for. However, with the recent rise in food allergy among guests, operations are becoming difficult. Food allergies have posed challenges in the hotel industry which have as well increased the roles of the hospitality staff to take measures to avoid cross contact with food allergies among guests. It has affected hotel business since food services are the main services offered in the business. This research project focused on how food allergy affects hospitality operations. The main objective of the research was to get an understanding of how food allergy among guest has brought an impact on the hospitality industry.
