Pathos, logos and ethos are the the three pillars of public speaking which forms the basis for nearly every public speaking and every speaker needs to understand these pillars of public speaking. In other words these are the three essential qualities that your special presentation must have before your audience will accept your message. The speaker must always ensure possession of these pillars in order to convince the audience.

ETHOS
Ethos, also called ethical appeal. It is a Greek word for character. This is the credibility or character of the speaker. Before you can convince an audience to accept anything that you are communicating to them, they have to accept you as credible.
There are many aspects of ensuring your credibility
-Does the audience respect you?
-Does the Audience believe you are of good character?
-Does the audience believe you are generally trustworthy?
