Summary

QUESTION; Give an account of how fields related to Human Computer Interaction(HCI) contributes to its body of knowledge?
HCI combines: –
COMPUTER SCIENCE
Computer Science with use of operating systems, applications software and application domains helped in development of programming languages and system architectures of the computing systems. Contact among these language groups takes place as users move among them or when a single computer comes to support several systems for example as the stand-alone word processor, personal computer, transaction processing, and other worlds come together.
The software engineers in the 1970s made the complex softwares simpler by creating emphasis on non-functional requirements such as the usability and maintainability and development of empirical software processes that depend largely on interactive prototypes and empirical testing.
Software crisis characterized by high cost, unreliable systems, late delivery and ineffective system that was difficult to maintain made it necessary for programming. This has assisted in developing programming languages, system architecture of computer system.
