Cyber cafes are been more common recently all over the country from upcountry to even towns and big cities. This is because, they provide services such as Internet browsing, printing documents, scanning removable devices, binding, photocopying materials and many more services cheaply and from this, they have attracted many customers hence leading to their grooving and thriving countrywide.

Setting up of a Cyber café require few factors to be put in consideration, more precisely about the Internet connection and is discussed below;

To begin with, a Cyber café require a stable Internet connection so as to avoid embarrassment to your customers. Nowadays, acquiring an Internet connection strategy is very easy due to the advancement in technology. There are cheap routers available in the market. Choose one that best suits your needs and an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that has a strong network in your locality and with enough boosters around you for network stability assurance. These Internet Service Providers include Safaricom, Orange Telkom or Airtel.
Your computers or laptops should also be arraigned in a specific order or structures know as Network topology to facilitate easy flow of data packets from the main source (router) to the individual socket. Every network topology has its own advantage over others, so it will be wise if you choose the best and manageable to your set up.

Secondly, if you intend to provide printing and photocopying services, try to choose a printing machine that has both integrated, that is, it can print and at the same time photocopy, and this will be cost-effective and save you maintenance cost since the cost of maintaining one item will be far off that of maintaining two. use will definitely determine the number of customers you receive. If you use the poor quality, then expect very few customers looking for your printing service. Therefore, try to use the best quality but at the same time economize.

Thirdly, a Cyber café require furniture to place the machines and all accessories. Use tables that are wide and strong enough to accommodate all the computer parts such as the mouse, keyboards or the external speakers. You can cut off this cost of buying tables by using laptops because they do not have many accessories and therefore will require cheap tables. Chairs used should be high enough relative to the tables having a straight back, to ensure the customers sit comfortably when using the computers.

Fourthly, If your services also include game play, you will require a computer or two with some special specifications. Choose a computer/laptop which is strong and can run for longer than the rest in the Cyber café. This will prevent it from crushing because; most video games require a strong system. Good specifications of a gaming computer may include 500 GB of Hard disk, 2.67 GHZ processor and 2GB of RAM. With this, you can play games 24 hours with no problem or discontinuations hence attracting clients.

Lastly, you will require a good location for your business. A specific location that is highly secured to guarantee you safety of your property since, there is no importance of setting up this and the next day everything is stolen. Secondly, choose somewhere with a stable power supply because computers are adversely affected by unstable power supply, power surges and brownout. It should also be cool and with controlled humidity for the full operation of the computers preventing damage.

In remembrance, use wisely the capital you have for any purchase you make and do not spend lavishly. It is better you buy a cheap machine which is operational with low maintenance cost than an expensive machine which will make you spend cash even before you use it leading to losses instead of the profits.
