Stress is a physical and psychological response to circumstances in the environment that test our ability to cope.Stress can be caused by a number of factors, both positive and negative.It can be caused by factors such as tragic accidents, loss of a job, divorce and also positive factors such as wedding preparations, getting of a new job, e.t.c.Depending on the degree of stress one has, it can be very harmful to ones health.Here are some ways to reduce stress on a daily basis.1. Get enough exercise.- Have a regular exercise program- Love to be physically active- Participate in sports rather than be a spectator2. Get enough sleep.- Know how many hours of sleep you require to feel your best.3. Eat right.- Start each day with a nutritional breakfast- Know your nutritional needs and try to meet them daily- Eat your meals in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere- Avoid using drugs and alcohol- Ensure that your diet is well balanced and avoid eating junk foods.4. Manage time effectively.- Take on only as much time as you can reasonably handle- Avoid taking unnecessary risks in what you do- Balance your work with play- Plan your week in advance5. Maintain a positive outlook.- Try to emphasize the joys of life rather than the sorrows- Take life one day at a time6. Build supportive relationships.- Talk over your problems with a trusted friend- Take time daily to pray and just be in the presence of God's love- Allow others to assist when they can.
