Since Kenya gained its independence in 1963, it became a sovereign state which means it is a country that has supreme and independent authority on her own and is able to make its own decision and is led by her own citizens. It is quite unfortunate when a country is independent but still is being dictated by other countries. I think Kenya should not be among the list that is being governed by external forces from other countries other than her own citizens. This is because Kenya has got a strong government which has allowed its departments undergo transformation through the reform process as seen in the own going vetting of judges,police among other government departments. Despite some few problems like extra-judicial killings carried out by police,corruption and political unrest, Kenya has become a peaceful and stable country that should solve its own problems including the international criminal court cases facing the post election violence suspects. This cases should be brought back to Kenya to taste our judicial system if its truly reformed and to show the other countries that we are not a failed state but independent and capable of solving our own problems.
