Useful characteristics of an entrepreneur.

First let us define what is entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurship is the process through which individuals and teams create value by binging together unique packages of resources inputs to exploit opportunities in the environment.
Entrepreneur is someone who assumes the social, physiological and financial risks necessary to start and run a small business. Or simply Entrepreneurship is a function of an entrepreneur i.e E=f(e) where f-function e-entrepreneur E- Entrepreneurship.

Now let us look at five skills and entrepreneur should have:
1) PERSUASIVENESS
This is a skill that requires listening them appealing to someone's understanding in order to win them over.To be successful as an entrepreneur, you need persuasive skills to enable you attract and convert your target audience into paying clients.

2) DRIVE TO ACHIEVE
Entrepreneurs are self starters who appear to others to be internally driven by a strong desire to compete, to excel against self imposed standards and to pursue and attain challenging goals.

3) INITIATIVE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Entrepreneurs effectively and actively seek and take the initiative. They willingly put themselves in situations where they are personally responsible for the success or failure of the enterprise.They like to take the initiative in solving a problem or seeking a vacuum where no leadership exists. they also like situations where their personal impact on problems can be measured. This is the action oriented nature of entrepreneur expressing itself.

4) INDEPENDENCE
A successful entrepreneur he/she has the desire for independence. This is their driving force. Their frustrations in the rigid systems combine with a sincere commitment to make a difference it adds up to an independent personality trying to accomplish things his or her own way.

5) OPPORTUNIST SEEKERS
An opportunist is one who is able to recognize and pursue opportunities. Entrepreneurs are opportunistic and creative thinkers who refuse to take no for an answer.They are always seeing

a way out and refuse to be locked down by competition in the business world.

This are only five characteristics and entrepreneur should have but they are several others.I think these few tips should help those students who want to major into business world and even those who are already in the entrepreneurial world.
