Praying is the easiest way to tell God something. Its not only the easiest but also the fastest, unlike sms, mail or telegraph, praying is free of charge and tax.There are several reasons of praying. They include:-thanksgiving. We should at times pray to say thanks to the creator for this far he has brought us. The health, the money, the family, the success etc. Do this whenever you remember you woke up, ate something, went to work and you are still breathing. Thank God.-Ask for forgiveness. Humans are constant sinners and we cannot avoid it. The way we look at others, what we think of that iphone, the yawning while we pass near an apple garden etc can all contribute to sin without our knowledge. Pray. Say you are sorry. God can only forgive you if you admit you did wrong. Be sure whoever calls upon the name of the lord, shall be saved.-Ask for guidance. Sometimes we are not clear in the way to do things. Family break up, getting fired, giving up and all bad things led our way to darkness. To get the best and miss the worst, ask God the way out.- ask for something. You desperately need that job, that laptop, that house, that management post, that beautiful girl for a wife, that vehicle... All of these bodily desires.Pray, close your eyes whenever you are and say it to God.-ask for protection. We sometimes feel soo insecure. The vehicles, the riches, the grudges, the diseases, the hatred and the devils malicious works all push you pray for God''s protection.The above are just but a few reasons why we pray. There can be thousands more.When Jesus taught his disciples to pray, he told them to pray a simple prayer. And I quote."After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread.And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."The above prayer is simple and complete. We ought to be careful to whatever we say in prayer. The holy spirit intercedes for us, and I quote: In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don''t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can''t be uttered.Pray, pray, pray!! You need that favor, that love, that protection, that care you always need them. Amen!!
