Every parent will go an extra mile to ensure his/her child is safe because parents have the best interests of their children at heart.In the Kenya of today,there is an increase in child trafficking incidences and parents should advice their children on what to do and what to avoid at all costs in order to ensure they are safe.Below are some of the safety dos and don'ts. a)Advice your children to always play near your neighborhood and at your vicinity. This ensures that the parent and the neighbors can see the children as they play and will be able to see suspicious-looking individuals and strangers when they try to approach children. b)Advice your child to go straight home from school or shop always. c)Advice your child to report to you or to neighbors any strangers or suspicious-looking persons spotted in the neighborhood. d)Advice your child never to get into strangers' cars or accompany them.e)Advice your child never to accept gifts/presents from strangers.Child traffickers use presents to entice children into their ill-motives. If children strictly abide to the above safety measures,incidence of child trafficking will surely decline.
