I believe that there is nothing left to invent. Man has reached his capacity. Look at aircrafts which were invented long time ago, they are just improving on them, nothing more is being done. Almost all things that we use today were invented several years ago. I could say that Sir Charles Wheatstone was the one who invented the much hyped 3D technology. In 1838, he invented the stereoscope which showed that if two images were viewed stereoscopically, they could produced a 3D effect in the brain of human.

A 3D effect is a perception in the brain that makes people see images as if they were outside the screen, hanging in the air. The stereoscopic 3D television was first demonstrated in 10 August 1928,by John Logie Baird at his company's premises Long Acre, London. Since then, 3D technology was not used in television sets until recently.

Major electronic companies such as Sony and Samsung have been so instrumental in adapting to this 3D technology. They have even managed to save cinema goers by bringing the 3D effect right into their living room. At only Ksh120,000, one can get a good 3D Tv set.

But did you know that these Tvs can kill you? Samsung electronics company published consumer warnings in their website. The possible side effects included; epileptic seizures, altered vision, light-headedness, dizziness, involuntary movement of the eye muscle, confusion, loss of awareness, convulsion e.t.c. The list is long.

This list freaked me out completely. It changed my mind about these Tv sets. it got me thinking about EABL or BAT which sells it's product despite their harmful effects to human beings. I know that every technology comes with side effects, but for 3D, is just too serious.
