Densely populated areas in Kenya

In Kenya, population varies from place to place depending on so many factors. Also, a place having more or less people can be both good and bad depending on how people treat the situation and the available resources.
I want to talk more about the densely populated areas. These are areas with more people compared to most parts of Kenya. As I have mentioned, this can be a good thing but at the same time a bad thing, let me show you how.

The advantages of high population in an area in Kenya

1) The nearby businesses get more customers.
When you look at Nairobi for example, people come from all over Kenya just to sell their goods to those who are in Nairobi. This is simply because they understand that Nairobi has so many residents and in business, the more people there are to buy your goods, the merrier.
Businesses in densely populated areas really make a lot of money especially if the businesses sell their goods directly to the consumer, like retail shops.

2) It makes the search for employees very easy.
Places that are densely populated in Kenya also have many unemployed people who are desperately looking for a job opportunity. Therefore, when you announce that your company or business needs new employees, you will have so many people who want to be employed in your company.
Some people in such areas even move from place to place asking for jobs even before an opportunity arises. This means that you have more people to choose from thus you can employ someone who fits the vacant position in your company even more accurately.

The disadvantages of high population in an area in Kenya

1) Increased incidents of crime.
In most densely populated areas, there are so many people who have no jobs and thus no way of making

money in a legal way. For this reason, There are more people who make their earnings through criminal activities like stealing.

2) High competition for the available resources.
There are so many people in densely populated areas. This means that the available resources are in high demand. This not only means that some people might not get to use the resources, but it also means that things are more expensive in densely populated areas.

This shows us that having high population in any area in Kenya can have its benefits and disadvantages.
