Poor revision habits we must discard

These are some few revision tips that I find necessary when preparing for exams. They are not scientifically tested so feel free to either agree or disagree with them and also add your own.

• Concentrating on the subjects or topics that you love. Many a time we take most of our time studying on the topics that appeal to us at the expense of those that require more of our attention. Try to balance the allocation of your reading time as equally as possible.

• Last minute rush before exams. Who has not done this? Perusing through the notes just before the exams makes even the areas that were well covered to look new. Start preparations for exams early enough so as not to necessitate this last minute vice.

• Reading without writing. We must always scribble something while studying; this enables us to remember easily and serves as summary when we need a little bit of reminding.

• Mixing subjects before a test. We should concentrate on preparing for the subjects that are forthcoming and should not mix up our revision with those that are further off.
