The Kenyan educational system is one very limiting one. It is the doctor's,lawyer's,engineer's and pilot's system. It does not care about the artistic world.Kenyans forget that arts run economies and trigger revolutions. An art can make or break your day, release your stress or trigger its height.Yet our system throws arts to the trunk and thinks only sciences and mathematics can save the world.

A Kenyan born with an artistic talent, say music had better find something else to do because the art cannot earn them a living. It is for such reasons that we do not have world renowned schools of arts.It is not because we cannot,it is because of stereotypes that we harbor that hamper such ambitions.

Schools like Berkeley were not born in a day's dream but out of hard-work,determination and a supportive system, which Kenya largely lacks. We have talent in leaps and bounds that can startle the world. All that is left is support and goodwill that the government can provide. Diversity promotes a good economy, and that is what Vision 2030 is all about.
