While it is true that no one has a monopoly on information, and it is not possible to write a good article without refering to other articles, it is an offense to copy ones work word for word. Here are a few things you might do to avoid copying content.1. Research thoroughly on the topic you want to write about and take notes from several sources.2. Read and understand the notes you have taken and try write about the topic in your own words.3. If you have to use a string of sentences or paragraphs from another source be sure to credit the author and the source of that work.4. Avoid using information that is classified, for example information about a company that has not been made public by that company.5. Try to minimize posting articles you have written to several websites as this may also be seen as copying.Happy writing friends.
